Biography

Being a current serving Police Officer, Re-trainer of Racehorses and someone who is now developing a team of horses to fulfil those early ambitions. We believe that she epitomises 90% of people that take part in Equestrian activities. She is one of the many that had to define a career outside of horses to supplement my passion in hope that she would one day fulfil her goals and objectives in her chosen discipline of Eventing. She, and we, now believe that with her team of re-trained racehorses that she will break into that top 10%.

Highlight of career to date?
Apart from being supported by Barnsby that is! Barbury Castle – One of the first aims within VBEventing when only focusing on Re-Training Racehorses was to qualify a horse for the Retraining of Racehorse Championships held each year at the Barbury Castle Horse Trials. This was achieved last year and we look forward to returning again this and following years with more and more horses.

All time favourite horse and why?
Crystal Ka, my Wonderboy – He is the one that ignited, inspired and participated in this journey that we are currently on, including winning my first ever BE Event in 2011.

What do you enjoy most about your chosen discipline?
The XC phase what else!

Favourite Barnsby product and why?
My absolutely amazing Pink Liberte Mono-Flap Event saddle. It is a really striking colour that can’t fail to be noticed. I feel safe and secure, yet flexible when riding in it.

Other hobbies / interests?
Which I have time to do when!

Who is your hero/person you most admire and why?
My Grandma – she was the one who introduced me to horses and encouraged me to do well at something I loved.

All time favourite film?
Sea biscuit – It is all about a horse that was never given a chance, until someone came along and believed in it
